1. Cherry blossom in the garden
We have a small ornamental cherry tree, which is always the first plant in the garden to flower with delicate pink blossom. Now it’s been joined by more cherry blossom and pear blossom – the garden looks fantastic right now!
2. Vintage puzzles
We found this amongst my Granny’s things; the aim is the get the right coloured hoop over the labelled target. I failed, both my brothers failed, and then Chris came along and solved it in one go!
3. Daffodils and tulips
Don’t the bright yellow and delicate peach colours look wonderful together? I feel some outfit inspiration coming on…
4. Flowers in the vegetable patch
This bright splash of purple amongst my Dad’s leeks caught my eye. Little purple diamonds in the rough ground.
5. Easter Sunday adventure
Chris and I went for a wonder through the woods around my parents’ house at the weekend. This strange chalk cutting has been there since I was a child. The trees look so precariously balanced on top with their roots poking out all over the place, if it wasn’t such a hike through the woods to get up to this spot I would spend a lot of time taking outfit pictures here.
6. Pink and raindrops
More of my Mum’s spectacular tulips! Spring has all the best colours, for flowers and for clothes.
7. In the garden of love
Finally, something a bit cheeky! A couple of weekends ago our back patio turned into a serious social zone for ladybirds. Feeding, wondering about, and engaging in more… private activities. At one point there were three mating pairs out there in the sunshine!
These are just a few random photographs from the last few weeks, but I love how each one comes with a silly little story. What springtime stories do you have to tell?
I’m going to be on holiday from tomorrow, but fear not, I have scheduled a few posts for my absence. I hope you enjoy, and have a lovely couple of weeks! x
