Dress – ASOS | boots and satchel – Marks and Spencer | wool cape – knitted by me
This is the second time my home knitted cape has made an appearance on here, and the second time that I have taken it to some wintery woodlands for photographs! I think some pieces lend themselves perfectly to certain backgrounds. When Chris and I decided to go for a little pre-Sunday dinner walk in the woods (yes, there are woods in Greater London) I instantly decided upon my woollen friend to keep out the chill.
The uber stylish are always telling us that mixing up textures is a great way to keep a look fresh, and I have to admit I was quite inspired by the mixture of pale pink chiffon, lace and heavy wool. The dress was one of my only sale purchases; I had a big craving for a zero calorie sugar fix after the Christmas bingeing, and knew that somewhere in the vast online catalogue of ASOS there would be just the pink, floaty lace and chiffon combo that I wanted. When the weather gets warmer I think I’ll start mixing up a saccharine pastel look using this dress as a base. I always did have a sweet tooth!

So there you have it, the sum total of my sale finds: a dress and a pair of boots. Hmm, I think I might have to head back to the ASOS sale for a bit more bargain hunting. I hope you guys are more persistent sale hunters than me! Did you find anything good? x
The beautiful photographs were taken by my other half Chris.

this is such a stunning outfit x
I can not get over how amazingly you knitted that cape.
Love the rest of the look as well. The dress looks great.
The cape is divine and I LOVE the mix of textures (I love a good texture!)
